After Choir Practice

Quyra sat on a bench in the larger gathering space that had been used for practice today, humming as she scratched the eye ridges of a rather contented blue firelizard. Her normal entourage was off elsewhere, probably making a mess of her things in her room. Other harpers were flitting around, talking to a friend or colleague, coming in or out of the multiple doors. Quyra was content and energetic at the same time. She loved to sing, hearing her soprano rising among altos, tenors, bases, and the rest of her section or even by itself. It gave her a sense of peace and freedom, and made her want to do run around the Hall a few times to burn off the energy. Instead, she just smiled and sat with her firelizard.
