Appearance: Marigold was named for her luxurious golden hair. Usually she wears her hair in a braid. Her eyes are hazel with blue flecks. Standing at 5'9", she is quite tall for a woman. Marigold is thin and willowy, however this is deceptive as she has toned muscles hiding under her fair physique. Her pale skin reflects the fact she spends a great deal of time inside during the day. She is quite beautiful.
Personality:
Serious and calm are two words that describe Marigold. She has a no nonsense attitude and prefers to do things as tradition demands it be done. Marigold always finds something to do and is studious. Though she takes her Craft seriously, she has a good sense of humor.
She has a stubborn streak and balks to change her plans once she has set her mind to them. However, she is a fierce ally and friend, giving her loyalty slowly but defending her friends to the bitter end. She is very close to her family despite the miles that separate them and often sends messages to her parents and brother.
History:
Marigold born of Mari and Golrin, at Southern Hold. Her parents were caring and attentive; however as Marigold grew older she realized she wanted more out of life than to follow in her mother's footsteps as Headwoman. To ensure their precious daughter was as safe as possible, her parents gave her a fire-lizard for her sixth Turning-Day. They instructed her, if she was ever in trouble, to send her fire-lizard with a picture of her location. Although she never had to use this emergency system, she now has a very well trained fire-lizard.
During her ninth Turn, her older brother Golmar was Searched, and a few months later she got a chance to go to Monaco Bay Weyr for a Hatching. There she heard the Dolphin Bell for the first time and witnessed the marvels of the dragons close up. However, it was the brightness of the stars as they shone across the ocean at night that intrigued her the most. When Golmar did not Impress, the family went away; however Golmar stayed at the Weyr to attempt again when there was another clutch on the Sands.
That trip put visions of stars in Marigold's head. In her almost-eight-turn-old logic she "wanted to see them always". So her parents arranged for her to go to StarCraft Hall to study. There, she began her apprenticeship.
When a clutch was on the Sands of Monaco Bay Weyr again, Marigold's brother stood again. This time he Impressed the brown Bormarth and became G'mar. Although Marigold did not get to witness this, G'mar's green fire-lizard delivered a message to her and she rejoiced at the news.
When Marigold became a Journeywoman, she requested an assignment to Monaco Bay Weyr. This was granted. She went there and within a Turn found herself a Wher Candidate. She studied to be a Wher Handler with all the rigorous hard work that she put into her Starcraft. Finally, her patience paid off and she found herself blood-bonded and Impressed to Marigosk.
Although Marigold is still actually part of Monaco Bay Weyr, she has come back to Starcraft Hall to study for her Master-ship. She intends to return to Monaco Bay Weyr after she walks the tables to Master.

Appearance:
Marigosk is aneven toned Gold Wher. She has no markings, leaving her hide smooth and uniform. She lithe, and small for a queen but quite fast.
Personality:
Marigosk is as regal as her hue suggests. She was a trouble-maker as a youngster and often a streak of wicked humor will get into her that includes knocking over runner watering bins or simply running through them to stir them up. However, most of the time she is stately and calm. Marigosk is meticulously clean, and when she has nothing to do may be seen obsessively preening between her claws.

With the timelessness of any fire-lizard, Buddy is the same smooth brown color he has been since he hatched. He has "freckles" scattered on his hide.
Personality:
Fun loving and vocal, Buddy chirps and warbles as he pleases. He is quite well trained, and makes an excellent messenger. One of his best commands (and the first one he learned) is "find help". This means he takes an image of the surrounding area and locates the closest person to Marigold, warning them that she is in danger.
