Name: Cevara
Rank: Weapons Master/Guardian Second/Wingsecond at Great Cliffs Weyr
Age: 32
Pets: Firelizards Blue Farin and White Misko
Appearance: Cevara is an undeniably lovely woman in her own right. She has enchanting honey brown eyes, long and wavey light blonde tresses, and a friendly, engaging smile. Like most dragonriders, she is in excellent shape, but due to the nature of her craft she is even more sculpted and fit than many. Although her body is crafted of defined muscle, she retains a sleek, feminine figure with gently sloping hips and a soft bosom.
She is typically found wearing form-hugging brown trousers and some sort of lace-up or button-up v-neck shirt that permits easy movement. On her person at all times is a throwing knife, a dagger, and a set of lockpicks. She has taken to carrying around her sabre as well. The glaive, her favorite weapon, is too large to travel with her everywhere, and therefore is only near her person when she is expecting a match or trouble
Personality: Cevara is open, friendly, and very approachable. She has a fun loving and relaxed nature although turns of training allow her to switch to intense focus within a matter of seconds. She is the sort of person people feel comfortable going to to relate both ridiculous stories and grave dilemmas as she is always willing to listen and give advice, often touched with a bit of humor.
Those who learn of some of the darker hours of Cevara's life may be surprised to find they have left relatively few marks on her demeanor. Previously she was known to have a very sharp temper. These days it has calmed down, but although it takes quite a lot to make her genuinely angry, her wrath can be swift and frightening.
History: See full history at Great Cliffs Weyr.
Due to fears it would promote violence and warfare on Pern as well as an increase in duelings, Weapons Craft was banned widely hundreds of Turns ago and gradually died out. Some families, however, kept the Craft secretly alive, and in the last sixty turns or so it has made a comeback.
Cevara's grandfather, her mentor from the time she was six until he passed, was one of the key individuals responsible for bringing the craft back.
She reached the rank of senior Journeyman by her early twenties at her home Cold Water Weyr, but her training was cut short after an unfortunate incident that occurred within a fighting group she was connected to. She continued to train furiously on her own, and about a turn after transferring Great Cliffs Weyr she travelled to the Erdan Island Chain and walked the tables to the position of Master under Seyvin.
