HISTORY
Galanaven was an apprentice Herder at Kajano Hold. He was born to Greenrider Alana and Brownrider T'graynn. He led a much "happier" life, but always tried to help his older brother, Salanalay. Unfortunately, he was shunned from these. Salanalay, who didn't want his brother to get hurt, always told him not to help out. He felt guilty about all the things he got that his older brother, who really took care of him, didn't. He was not adversely affected by his mother's death, and was glad when they moved to the Hold. Even though he was not given as much stuff, he was glad not to see his older brother bruised up all the time.
When his brother was Searched, he couldn't have been happier. He was just sad that he couldn't go witness the Impression to see if his brother Impressed or not. He sent his blue Eritz, one of many gifts from his mother for his eighth turn-day, to watch it for him. The little blue informed him immediately of his brother's impression, and he practically danced around the room until his foster mother made him and the ecstatic blue stop. Galanaven was soon Apprenticed to Vanech.
In the last turn he received a wher egg from Niceta's gold Nicesk of Rivers Crossing Hold. He was initially supposed to study his craft there, but he showed an exceptional aptitude at his craft and was sent to the main Beast Hall in Keroon.
A little note on Eritz,
Eritz Impressed Lana by his own accord. About four months later, Avenuth died, and another two months after, Alana suicided.
PERSONALITY
As the younger brother of S'lay, there are many diffrences. He is a little on the jumpy side, but only when tired and groggy. Which tends to be any time during the day. And many other times... when he wakes up from spontaneous naps. You see, he loves to sleep. He's the sort of kid that loves to hang out and socialize. But he much prefers the company of animals. He wants to be a beastcrafter, specializing in the health and breeding of runners. He's a very empathetic boy. He has a strong understanding of emotion, and can generally read it off of the most closed off person's face. He developed this ability through his seperate but shared history with S'lay.
He's a tad co-dependent because of his history, but he is slowly growing into independence. Perhaps it is the lack of friends all around, because occasionally he gets shoved into a bout of depression when he realizes he isn't needed. Eritz, of course, proves the wrongness of this, and also manages to show him that he doesn't need to take care of everyone! Now that (Galanavesk/Galansk) is in his life, as well as his two runners, he is finding it much easier to see that he's got a purpose in life.
He loves to talk about runners. He is currently working out which desirable traits he would love to see Forestmoon and Starfire pass on over time, and is always willing to hear out suggestions.
APPEARANCE
Short and stocky, Galanaven took after S'lay's and his mother. He's 5'4" and slow in the growing process, though glad that he at least ever broke the five foot mark. He didn't hit five feet until two years before, and he hasn't grown since that growth spurt that provided him four full inches over the course of one year. He's a strong boy and it shows. Working with animals regularly as an apprentice beastcrafter, he's got the toned body of any full grown holdsperson. Deffinitely cut out for the work with his build, with his rough hands and sharp eyes.
His hair is still the reddish brown of his and his brother's shared youth, and does not yet show signs of darkening like his brother's or his mother's. It's cropped short, just long enough to flatten with its own weight. Unlike his brother, he is darkly tanned, allowing hisgolden brown eyes to stand out. His sculpted face prematurely speaks not of youth, but of adulthood. He matured muchly in the past two turns. While his brother grew freckles, Galanaven's faded away.
